If you are still unfamiliar with PAWS Animal Welfare Society @pawspj , here’s a motion graphic for you to learn more about this organization. This video is created by our team, aimed to raise awareness towards the importance of animal shelter in Malaysia.
PAWS accepts animals surrendered by members of the public, mostly unwanted pets or neighborhood strays. The Council dog-catchers also bring in many dogs and cats from the MPPJ (Petaling Jaya) and MBSA (Shah Alam) areas. Sadly, with so many stray dogs and cats un-neutered and left to reproduce and have unplanned or unwanted litters, the number of unwanted animals far exceeds the number of adoptions.
PAWS also helps cats, dogs and wild animals go home and thrive by sheltering and adopting homeless cats and dogs. They educate the community to inspire compassionate action for animals. The PAWS has an average animal population of 500 cats, kittens, dogs and puppies that undergo health programmes and are prepared for hopeful adoption.
