September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month.
According to the latest figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2009 more than 84,000 women in the US were told they had gynecologic cancer.
Dr. Tashanna Myers, a gynecologic oncologist at the Baystate Regional Cancer Program, talks about what symptoms women should look out for.
