In this video i'm showing how to make AC protection circuit to extend life of home appliances by limiting the inrush or peak current, that every electronic device pulls during startup or plugin for initial milliseconds.
This inrush current needs to be limited to give soft startup to any electronic device, that will eliminate the negative effect on device components due to this peak current.
The working principle of this circuit is simple, it initially limits the current flow to load then with relay it switches to full current. So eliminating the huge initial pull of current that negatively effects the rest of the circuit.




Parts Required_____

BD139 Transistor
10A/250v 12v-Relay
1N5408 & 1N4007 diodes
100K, 51k, 22k, 10k 1/4w Resistors.
1w 220 ohms Resistor.
2x 220uf/25v capacitors.
1uf/400v polyester Capacitor.
12v1 zener diode + 3mm led.
2W10 Bridge Rectifier.
2x 2pin Terminal connectors.
