Cinderella (74 min)

Synopsis: Good-natured and lovely Cinderella is forced to dress in rags and serve her jealous stepmother and two spoiled stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella. An invitation from the king arrives, requesting all eligible maidens to attend a palace ball intended to help his son, the prince, find a wife. While Cinderella’s stepmother keeps her busy with chores, Cinderella’s animal friends transform an old dress into a lovely gown, which Cinderella’s stepsisters destroy. Brokenhearted, Cinderella renounces her faith in dreams. Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother appears, and with a “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo,” transforms a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage and Cinderella’s rags into an exquisite ball gown. Cinderella goes to the ball, dances with the prince, and realizes, “So This Is Love”. But at the stroke of midnight, Cinderella must flee the ball before the spell is broken. As she runs, she loses one of her delicate glass slippers on the palace steps. Will Cinderella’s Prince Charming find her, with only a glass slipper as a clue?

• During its original release, the public made the film one of the highest grossing films of the year, and Disney’s most successful release since Bambi.
