1) Walk around the Old Town
The Old Town in Plovdiv is an architectural and historical reserve located on three of Plovdiv's hills: Nebet Tape, Dzhambaz Tepe, and Taksim Tepe. The Old Town in Plovdiv is included in UNESCO World Heritage tentative list since 2004. Hisar Kapia is a medieval gate in Plovdiv's Old Town built in the 11th century AD over the foundations of a gate from Roman times.

2) Visit the Ethnographic Museum
Plovdiv Regional Ethnographic Museum is the second largest specialised museum of this type in Bulgaria. The museum was established in 1917, and since 1938, it has been located in Kuyumdzhieva House, a cultural monument of national significance.

3) Visit the Ancient Roman Theatre
The Ancient Roman Theatre of Philipoppol (one of the ancient names of Plovdiv) is one of the best-preserved ancient theatres in the world. Discovered and reconstructed in the beginning of the 80s of XX Century, the Ancient Theatre of Philipoppol is among the most significant findings from the Roman period.

The theatre has been constructed in the 90s of I Century A.D., when Philipoppol was under the rulership of Titus Flavius Cotis - an heir of a Thracian Royal Dynasty. The theatre was used as a Gladiatorial arena and, as well as a seat of the general assembly of the Roman province of Thrace.
