Amritsar, Nov 22 (ANI): Security forces recovered 21 kilogram of heroin worth rupees 105 crore from near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab. Security personnel and the smugglers exchanged fire as forces seized the heroin from a border area in Punjab’s Amritsar late on Friday. A pistol, five magazines and five cartridges were also recovered from the spot. India’s paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) and the Counter Intelligence wing of Punjab police launched a joint operation near Border out Post (BoP) Gajjal following a tip off about smuggling of narcotics and weapons. Further investigation is on in the case.
