【Pls look at the top comment first】The noughties onwards saw the resuscitation of melodic rock after its fading years in the 1990s caused by grunge, alternative, nu-metal and hard-core's attacking. From the late noughties onwards to today, epic aor releases have come out in succession. I think loyal fans have deeply remembered this excellent aor project Frozen Rain.
Frozen Rain was an aor project instead of a band, that was true in the debut as Mr Kurt Vereecke was the founder, performer, songwriter and producer of this amazing project, who acted as an all-around contributor. But since the second album, his project has evolved into his band featuring the full-time members, who stand and play together as one.
In this debut, there includes a mighty recording team, who played with Kurt Vereecke. Among all the guest musicians, there were several familiar names who are the legendary musicians. More than twenty musicians accomplished this amazing record. In 2008, it was released by German label Avenue Of Allies Music, making Frozen Rain known to the public.
Melodic rock from Belgium is rarely known by people overseas in the past, though there were several domestic and classic names from the country in history including Mr Vereecke's early band Rhyana. The coming out of Frozen Rain is like a breakthough in the 21st century, because more and more worldwide melodic rock fans have heard and known these beautiful aor gems from Belgium since Frozen Rain's debut came out.
The twelve tracks feature various lead vocalists, enriching the full-length album with nice surprises one by one. Trust me that this album is the one which can make everybody smile on the face and get lost in romance. It includes rocking gems and emotional ballads with hooks in each track. Fantasic keys shine brightly and penetrate the album.
This debut was based on the transnational collaboration. Kurt Vereecke bonded the musicians from different countries together, making inspiration spark on these creations. He wrote and co-wrote most of the songs in music and lyrics. The recording team consisted of both young talent and music veterans, so Frozen Rain was a newly-formed but not fresh project, carrying Kurt Vereecke's dream to do something for aor revival in the 21st century. Enjoy this song "Say That You Love Me", one of my favourites from the album and cherish every love moment in this life.
This song features Swedish guitraist Tommy Denander on solos. He played on lead guitars for most songs in this album as the most important guest musicians from overseas. Except for his role as a solo musician, in the past decades, Tommy Denander has performed in a great deal of domestic and overseas rock projects and collaborated with numerous rock musicians as a vital role on lead guitars. As a prolific musician who has been credited for over 3000 albums, his playing is exquisite and flexible, perfect for melodic rock creations. Frozen Rain, AOR (France), Deacon Street Project (SWE), Radioactive (SWE), Sayit (SWE), Silver (GER), Voices of Rock etc. all include his impressive playing.
Finally, let's take a look at the personnel from this "Say That You Love Me":
