Is this Simpsons donut worth the D'oh?

✨Recipe:
⅔ cups milk
2 ¼ teaspoons (1 package) Active Dry Yeast
1 Egg
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) melted butter
¼ cup Granulated Sugar
½ teaspoon Salt
2 ¼ cups Flour
1 quart Vegetable Oil, for frying
1 cup Powdered Sugar
2 tablespoons Milk
6 teaspoons Maraschino Cherry Syrup
Extra pink food coloring as necessary
Rainbow sprinkles (a.k.a. Jimmies)

Directions:
1. Heat the milk until warm (~90°F). Stir in yeast. Let mixture sit for 5 minutes or until foamy.
2. In stand mixer bowl, beat together together eggs, butter, sugar, salt and yeast mixture. Once consistent, change to a dough hook and add 1 cup of the flour, mixing until combined. Slowly add the rest of the flour until dough pulls away from sides of bowl, adding more flour if necessary.
3. Remove dough from mixing bowl and place on floured surface. Gently knead dough until smooth, then place dough in an oiled bowl and cover. Let rise at room temperature until doubles in size (~1 - 1 ½ hours)
4. Return dough to your floured surface, and roll the dough out with a rolling pin to about ½ – 1 inch thick. Using a cookie cutter, cut out circles of about 3-4 inches. Using a smaller cutter, cut out holes in the middle of the circles. Place cut dough and holes on a floured baking sheet and cover.
5. Heat oven to 200°F, turn off the heat, and place baking sheet in oven with the door open. Let dough and holes rise again for about 45 minutes.
6. In a heavy bottomed skillet, slowly heat oil up to 375°F. Separately line a new baking sheet or plate with paper towels.
7. Add 1-2 donuts to the oil without overcrowding the skillet, using a spatula or carefully with your hands. Fry for 30-45 seconds, or until bottom is a deep golden brown.
8. Flip donuts over using a metal spatula and fry again for another 30-45 seconds. Remove donuts and place on paper towel lined sheet or plate. Repeat with donut holes.
9. While doughnuts cool, in a small mixing bowl, beat together milk, powdered sugar and maraschino cherry syrup. Add red food coloring if desired.
10. Dip the tops of doughnuts in your glaze and allow to drip straight over the container for 10 seconds. Flip donuts over and sprinkle rainbow sprinkles on top.
