We are often asked to make birthday requests for videos. Well we can’t fulfill all those requests but how about a birthday card instead?

This was letterpress printed in green rubber base ink using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press. The font on the front of the card for “Happy Birthday!” is 36 point Stymie Black and the electrotype of a shouting individual was made 80-90 years ago and is from the Bill Gaylord Collection. The back of the card includes an image of a Washington hand press and the words “Printed at the Sacramento History Museum.”
