We have earlier talked about the 2024 #Swift, which is going to come up with an Z series engine. Maruti Suzuki is preparing a hybrid version of the upcoming Z series engine, and they are going to use this hybrid engine on the next version of Fronx. Maruti is trying to move away from the hybrid technology of Toyota, and would like to develop their own hybrid mechanism. After moving away from the diesel engines, Maruti hopes that, introducing more hybrid vehicles would help then regain the edge in the market. The presently focused hybrid Z series engine is expected to give a fuel economy of 35 to 40 kms per liter.
It is expected that the next generation Fronx will come out to the Indian markets with this hybrid engine in 2025. After Fronx Hybrid, Maruti will update the other successful vehicles Baleno and Swift with the same Hybrid engine. Maruti is trying to create revolution on the Markets with upgraded tech and incredibly high fuel efficient cars. The focus of Maruti doesn’t get restricted to just electric vehicles, when it comes to the future vehicles. Maruti is investing a lot on CNG, Bio-fuel and Hybrid. Maruti defentely foresee the market opportunities of the future.
Maruti doesn’t clearly wants to adopt the hybrid technology from Toyota on a long term basis. They would clearly would like to develop their own Hybrid technology to be self sustaining.
