This is a method of conflict where we involve multiple characters trying to do different things.
Sometimes, those actions can be similar, however, slight variations in overall goals and ideas help the reader feel more engaged. It also helps conflict feel fresh and less repetitive.
The Four Corner Opposition Method is a great way to spice up a longer story if you feel like it will get boring quickly. Afterall, who wants to read the same thing happening over, and over, and over again! We need variety in stories to make them interesting.
