We are proud to show the progress made in the first year of the NIHR Sheffield Biomedical Research Centre in translational neuroscience for chronic neurological disorders. In this video we profile the pull through of a drug screening hit UDCA (Ursodeoxycholic acid) from the first ever drug screen conducted in Parkinson's Disease patient tissue into an early phase drug repurposing clinical trial in Parkinson's. To achieve this the Sheffield BRC has worked with basic scientists at the University of Sheffields Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN) and the trial will be delivered at the NIHR Sheffield Clinical Research Facility.
