A Day in Chiang Mai, Thailand 2024. I show you two Jungle Cafes, I Love Flower Farm 2024 tour, & Eden gardens resort Chiang Mai, Hotel in the Mountains,
we explore Northern Thailand's waterfalls and visit cafes with views over Mae Kampong Village, Chiang Mai 2024. Starting day two, we wake up at Baan Por Luang Mae Luang Homestay (บ้านป้อหลวงแม่หลวง แม่กำปอง) with a nice 14°C temperature and beautiful nature views. Despite the bad bed and staff, we enjoy the scenery.
We head to Mae Kampong Waterfall (น้ำตกแม่กำปอง), where I share a motivational speech about perseverance despite fibromyalgia, asthma, and arthritis. Then, we visit Rabeing View Cafe Mae Kampong (ระเบียงวิวแม่กำปอง), offering great views of the village.
Next, we visit Claai Cafe' & Eatery (คลายคาเฟ่ แอนด์ อีทเทอรี่) in the mountains and jungle of Chiang Mai. Despite the lovely location, the staff were awful and tried to force us to buy more food and drinks. We ended up enjoying the views and taking photos.
We stop at a petrol station and find an awesome handmade 100 Piper whisky hat. We also visit I Love Flower Farm in Mae Rim District. While the flowers were sparse, we enjoyed free Thai snacks like Khanom tom (ขนมต้ม) and Nam Gek Huey (น้ําเก๊กฮวย). Not keto, but carbs don't count on holiday!
For dining in Mae Raem, we recommend Thap Rim Than Restaurant (ร้านทับริมธาร). It's a beautiful spot by the river, with reasonably priced Thai food. Some dishes were better than others, but overall, it was a great experience with beers for 70-80 baht.
We're staying at Eden Gardens Resort (สวนอีเดน ม่อนแจ่ม) in the Mon Jam area. They have a plant-growing project with lots of vegetables. We explore the Eden Mon Jam cafe and discover Chiang Mai strawberries and keto chocolate sweetened with monk fruit. Most of the other options were carb-heavy, and we found a mysterious "Dirty" drink for sale.
