Holy, holy, holy, Lord God, the Almighty, who was, who is, and who is to come. This is what Revelation 4 tells us worship will be like in Heaven. Day and night, they never stop. So if this is what worship will be like for believers later, what should it look like now? What does the Bible say about Worship? The old testament gave us places of significance to worship - Mountains (Ex 3:12), Sanctuaries (Josh 22:27), Tabernacle (Ex 29), Temple (1 Chron) and ways TO worship - with gladness and in His fullness.
Today. What does your worship look like? Is it filled with liturgy or a guitar? More important than the order of service is the posture of your heart. As you worship this week, tune your affections to the creator of the universe, the one that sent his son as an atonement for your sin. Reflect on the love He must have for you to wash away your sin. Praise him with that heart. Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.
