Except for coconut oil, probably that is the gift of India to the rest of the world. It is a derivative of lauric acid. Out of all the oils that is available on the shelves these days, that is the only oil that can penetrate into the hair cortex and penetrate inside the shaft. There are no studies to prove the effectiveness other popular expensive oils. Btu definitely they may add to the glossiness soft hair, they may keep the frizz at bay. But if your looking at an oil that is nourishes the hair from the root to the tip, it will be the unprocessed or extra virgin oil over the regular coconut oils that we get in the shelves. So my choice for hair oil would always be a coconut oil.
