Korgoth of Barbaria is one of the shows from the Adult Swim line-up along with The Venture Bros, which was released in 2006. It bears a lot of resemblance with the Conan the Barbarian films. It was created by Aaron Springer, who is a storyboard artist and the brains behind shows like Dexter’s Laboratory, SpongeBob SquarePants, Samurai Jack, etc. It lives up to the hype of the previous series. However, the series did not run beyond its pilot episode due to the high costs of production. There was a petition to revive the show as well, but Adult Swim only re-aired the pilot about four times over the years instead. The only mention of the show on the Adult Swim website is an intro graphic saying, “you couldn’t handle more than one anyway,” which is literally the most Adult Swim thing ever. With that background, let us get into the pilot episode of what had the potential to be a sensational tv show if it hadn’t been canceled.
