Did you know? Five thousand nine hundred twenty-four of the approximately 6,000 Filipino spouses, fiance(e)s, and partners of foreign nationals bound for Germany from 2010 to 2020 were female at 93.65%, while the remaining 402 were male at 6.35%.
The Filipino marriage migrant population bound for Germany in 2010-2020 was mainly comprised of young and middle-aged spouses and other partners. The largest age group was the 1,874 25- to 29-year-olds at 29.62%, followed closely by 1,624 30- to 34-year-olds at 25.67%. The Top 3 and 4 age groups followed them by a large margin; 1,013 20-24 year-olds and 908 35-39 year-olds made up 16.01% and 14.35%, respectively. These four age groups altogether accounted for 85.65% of the total Germany-bound Filipino marriage migrants in the said period.
Meanwhile, Filipino spouses and partners aged 55 or older accounted for only 1.27% of the total number of New Zealand-bound Filipino emigrants from 2010 to 2020.
