In this episode of the Film Industry we are covering the Line Producer. This producer is purely logistics. They work closely with the 1st AD. The responsibilities of a Line producer is massive, and very intricate. I wouldn't say it's a tedious job, but I think it very much is with everything they cover to get production going and completed.
Side note/correction: line producers aren't really on union or studio projects, but there would be a UPM. This position is mostly an indie world role. I had to check some callsheet to make sure.
For the longest time I never understood what a line producer actually did, now that I do I give a ton of respect to anyone that is a Line Producer.
Sometimes a Line Producer can also be the Co-Producer. Please see this video to learn about Co-Producers. [ Ссылка ]
