This is a 60 minute yoga flow which features some gentle movement, acupressure and Yin postures for your hips, shoulders, neck and upper back. A class to relieve congestion and tightness in these parts of the body. The perfect antidote for the desk bound bodies we live in.
Class begins with a short breath meditation, followed by some gentle fluid movement for your upper body. To consolidate that little bit of opening and warmth created in the shoulders, neck and upper back we pause with a simple acupressure hold. We then flow slow around the mat with some longer holds in accessible hip opening postures - lizard and gate and then settle into some more yin style postures for our hips - Z legs pigeon & cow face pose. Our final sequence, to release the hips and low back, we recline our buttocks over a ball using a very helpful acupressure point that can free up gripping and tightness in the hips and surrounding musculature.
