In this video, Jim Raftis from the Illinois Department of Agriculture discusses the recent additions to the Illinois Production Cost Report, including ATS (ammonium thiosulfate), 32% liquid nitrogen, and B11 biodiesel. Later this year, the report will also include quotes for lime and propane.
The report now features a link to access current USDA FSA loan interest rates, provided by the USDA AG Marketing Service.
This week's report shows that fertilizer prices in Illinois are unchanged compared to the last report. Here are the current prices:
- Anhydrous ammonia: $730.00 to $860.00 (avg. $791.67)
- ATS (Sulfate): $350.00 (avg. $350.00)
- DAP: $720.00 to $795.00 (avg. $761.22)
- Liquid nitrogen (28%): $346.00 to $440.00 (avg. $384.50)
- Liquid nitrogen (32%): $345.00 per ton
- MAP: $760.00 to $810.00 (avg. $792.17)
- White potash (0-0-62): $471.00 to $595.00 (avg. $521.75)
- Urea (46%): $529.00 to $554.00 (avg. $539.60)
Fuel prices:
- No. 2 farm diesel: $2.93 to $3.02 per gallon (avg. $2.96)
- Biodiesel: $2.75 to $3.11 per gallon (avg. $2.88)
