Join me on a hiking trip up Scafell Pike! A fairly easy route from Wasdale Head Green car park.
The hike begins at Wasdale Head Green car park, the gateway to the hike.
Follow us as we set off towards Lingmell Beck, crossing a footbridge that starts the journey.
Head south towards Lingmell Gill, a watercourse cutting through the landscape.
Passing through a gate, we ascend the valley, eventually reaching the stony crossing leading to the Brown Tongue Path.
Next is the boulder-strewn terrain of Hollow Stones as we ascend the Brown Tongue Path, as we get closer to the summit.
Finally we reach the summit and soak in the views of the highest point in England.
We then descend, taking a diversion near the end of the path. Instead of retracing our steps, we followed Lingmell Gill down to the valley floor, before heading north, back to the car park for a well-earned rest.
