Having experienced homelessness and addiction throughout his life, John Sharkey found that tough times can be eased with art and compassion in a unique program offered by the Campbell River Art Gallery known as The Art Hive. By giving those with lived experience an outlet to express themselves through art, The Art Hive also serves as a family for those who need it most.
