For this recipe you require the pre made indian curry base gravy mix which can be found at [ Ссылка ]
## Ingredients ##
1 tablespoon / 15 ml of sugar
2 tablespoons / 30 ml of ground almonds
4 tablespoons / 60 ml of coconut powder (I use this one [ Ссылка ])
250ml of curry base
6-8 pieces of meat, vegetables, tofu or paneer
80ml single cream
## Method ##
1. Have your base gravy ready to go as sugar and coconut go from starting to brown to burnt very quickly :)
2. Heat a pan and add the sugar and coconut powder and keep stirring so it heats but doesn't stick until the powder just starts to brown and releases a fantastic toasted aroma.
3. Add 1/3 of base sauce and stir for 30 secs. This will create a more paste like consistency of the coconut powder and sugar and allow it to incorporate well when you add the rest of the liquid.
4. Add the remaining 2/3 of the base sauce and and the ground almonds and stir for 30 secs.
5. Add the cream then the meat and cook for about 30 seconds. If adding raw meat cook until it starts to brown.
6. Simmer gently to reduce. Stir every couple of minutes by scraping the sides and mixing in (this helps to develop more flavours is the sauce cooks).
Serve when the sauce reaches your desired consistency (and when your meat is cooked through if you used raw meat).
