This Jantar Mantar is the largest of India's five astronomical observatories.
It was built by King Sawai Jai Singh II.
The rest of the four celestial observatories were also constructed by King Sawai Jai Singh II.
Built in the seventeenth century, this monument attracts tourists.
This Observatory has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
This monument is made near the City Palace and the Hawa Mahal of Jaipur city.
There are 14 major instruments in this observatory. Some of the instruments are made of stone, marble and copper.
The world's largest sun clock is located here. Which is still working with accuracy today.
It is called Samrat Yantra; the height of this device is 27 meters.
The instruments here tell even the exact time today. The machine is also suitable for prediction of eclipse.
Also, yatra is helpful to know the speed and position of the star.
