In this video I'll be finally preforming a reaction I've wanted to do for a long while - the Hoffman rearrangement of benzamide to make aniline.
In this procedure I used the following reagents:
• 48g NaOH (1.2mol)
• 24.21g Benzamide (0.2mol)
• 15.4g TCCA (0.066mol)
• Water and ~5g KOH for drying
