1-320 Field Artillery deployed on a strictly Infantry mission into the heart of the Taliban in 2010-11 to the Arghandab River Valley. As an Artillery unit they were forced to learn Infantry tactics with minimal time. Taking ground held by the Taliban was no easy task but ultimately when the year was over the persistence of the Soldiers and Leaders of the 101st Airborne (AASLT) unit would walk away with their heads held high, and the motto "NEVER FORGET" 🖤
