There are 3 Types of Karma. They are together known as sanchita prarabdha agami karma. The three karmas represent past, present and future karmas. One can alter Karmas to come extent by chanting Hari Nama. Sanchita and Agami Karma can be totally burnt down by regular chanting of the holy name, by taking instructions from a Guru. but Prarabdha Karma cannot be eliminated but can be reduced to some extent by regular chanting of the holy names of god or bhagawan.
