During the month of September 2021, I noticed that the Maasbanker/Horse Mackerel were invading Kalk Bay Harbour in Cape Town, South Africa. I decided to take advantage and went for bait collection before they relocated. These bait fish are perfect for catching Kob. When fishing for Maasbanker, its best to use the smallest rod, reel and hooks(note that you don’t need to use any weights, as these bait fish feed on top of the water ).
