Ethan Setiawan plays a style-J Kimble Two-Point mandolin at The Music Emporium in Lexington, MA. This style J rendition of Kimble's Two-Point mandolin veers slightly into the New York jazz guitar world, and takes a little inspiration from Monteleone. Its power, warmth and sustain will make any traditional bluegrass player forget about "needing an F5" the second they hear it. Slightly more overtone-rich than other traditional models we've seen from Will, it also lends itself well to solo arrangements. Handsomely appointed with a Monteleone-style sunburst finish, ebony pickguard and James tailpiece.
Audio recorded with our Ear Trumpet Edwina mic, straight into our Sony camcorder. No additional EQ or processing has been added.
