Off the back of the long-awaited ‘Girls/Breathe’ EP from Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo, Food Music returns with another quality release, delivered this time by Kry Wolf.
First up is ‘Citrus’. The track opens up with rolling drums and chord swells before introducing a catchy vocal line. When the breakdown arrives, a garage influenced break and a teasing bass synth prepares listeners for what’s next. Kry Wolf’s signature punchy sub-bass work drives the track and sits tight with the shuffling beat. The happy summer mood emitted from Citrus makes it a must play for DJs this summer.
On the flip is ‘Education’. Education begins with a shuffling and fluid drum riff before incorporating eerie synth pads and looped vocals. Kry Wolfs tight production can be heard as an atmospheric breakdown builds and builds, putting the listener into a soundscape before plunging down into the drop.
With DJ support from Huxley and plays on Rinse FM already, this EP is set be a DJ favorite from the onset.
