My left tail light would intermittently (but usually not) work on my 1998 Porsche Boxster 986. I recently upgraded to LED lights with the though that it might help. I had already checked the bulbs obviously, but there were not the issue. After replacing the entire assembly, the problem persisted. Someone pointed me towards looking at the headlight switch and that was indeed the culprit! All lights are now fully functioning and here's how to do it!
