You asked a really good question about the irregular bleeding that you've been having. You had an IUD that was removed on September 3rd, had some bleeding after that. You want to know what your regular cycles are doing now. After you have an IUD removed, it is normal to have a little bit of irregular bleeding or spotting. It might take your body a couple of months to get back on track. So it's hard to say whether or not that was your period and that's what you should count. If you're trying to not get pregnant right now, make sure to use a backup form of contraception until you're wanting to conceive a baby. Just wait for the next couple of months to go by and see what your cycles start to do. If you start a period in a couple of weeks, then you can probably determine that that on September 4th was a period if you have another period a month later. If that was just kind of irregular bleeding in between two cycles, then that probably wasn't a period and just due to the fact that it was taken out. But what happens in the future will probably help you determine what kind of bleeding that was. If you have more specific questions, never hesitate to ask your doctor and if you have any other questions for me in the future, feel free to ask them on our Facebook page at facebook.com/intermountainmoms and recommend us to your friends and family, too.
