Have you ever tried to fly Mach 40 close to ground level (min altitude)? In this video, I simulate Mach 40 by flying 24000 TAS which slightly faster than same true airspeed that equals Mach 40 when you are in space at 275,000 ft. I also reference the true airspeed when flying Mach 10 at 275,000 ft. In order to do so, I needed to increase altitude slightly off the ground and incorporate slew mode. If you get too close to the ground, it's impossible to achieve Mach 40 (not only in slew mode but also when you are normally flying due to air density). My Xbox Series X crashed because it was too much to handle. This is the best simulation I could achieve to really show you what it is like.
