What do Tim Henson (Polyphia), Eric Johnson, and Brad Paisley have in common? They all use hybrid picking. Hybrid picking is a guitar technique that involves using your pick in a conventional way while also using your remaining fingers to pluck the strings. Doing this allows you to play far more efficiently than other picking methods. Typically, you'll find this technique used in country music, but in this video, I want to focus on some hybrid picking techniques that can be used in other genres of music as well.
