This video was a presentation at the Fall KBMP Meeting in Yreka on November 9th, 2022 by Dan Chase from RES. Presentation Summary: Klamath River Renewal Corporation selected RES to lead restoration efforts once four hydropower dams (Iron Gate, Copco 1, Copco 2, and J.C. Boyle) are removed from the Klamath River. RES is also responsible for ensuring restoration meets ecological and biological performance standards and long-term goals/objectives. Restoration actions of formerly inundated areas will include approximately 22 miles of river and tributary habitat and 2,000 acres of revegetation. This presentation will address the project timeline, monitoring elements, and considerations for coordination with the project.
