Namaste and welcome to the IndeaYoga free online Practice series. Today we will create a strong and powerful 20 min hatha yoga surya namaskar or sun salutation guided practice. Before we get into it please be sure to refer to our previous videos to know the proper technique and corrections and also the common mistakes. Practicing Surya Namaskars promotes overall growth. It works greatly to tone the body and its muscles. The breath work in this flow develops a deep connection between body and mind. The mind inturn begins to meditate on this flow. The surya namaskars were created using the ancient sciences of India that follow a deeply rooted and traditional approach to holistic health. Practicing 20 minutes of surya namaskars everyday you will see a tremendous improvement in every other aspect of your daily life be it physical, mental or emotional. Begin by standing in namaskarasana( tadasana + namaskara mudra). Recitation of prayer(provided below). Follow the guided 20 min surya namaskar counts by Bharath Ji. After 20 mins slowly release and relax in savasana. After savasana roll in and sit comfortably in any meditative posture for a few moments, eyes remain closed and spine uplifted, gently rub your plams, cup your eyes and slowly open your eyes with a few gentle blinks while taking your palms away from the cupping looking straight into your palms the whole time.
