This device helps me to transfers a relative position from one pipe to another,
to mark the line for later cutouts for notching/coping/rohr ausklinken etc.
Its a well known standard principle and there are many tools out there,
which inspired me as a newbie to tig-welding and joining -
but they either cost money + s+h or need a computer/printer.
this device is made from scrapped bicycle spokes, sticky tape
and thin corrugated cardboard, using pliers to clip spokes and scissors.
its scalable, works on many sizes and sections, and costs ...well, a beer ?
above all: the final idea was put into reality and tested in one rainy night.
this video is authentic. of course it will be further tested until it fails,
eg when the 2.5mm corrugated cardboard holding the spokey "sensors"
disintegrates, after a cuppa tea is poured over it, but so far im happy.
because my idea works.
suggested improvements :
grind spokes tip to 90degree,
use more spokes at critical locations/corners,
find a plastic sheet the same shape as the corrugated paper
