In 1923 the North Staffordshire Railway, known as the Knotty, became part of the newly formed London Midland Scottish Railway as part of the grouping.
To mark the centenary the Foxfield Railway organised an event weekend to mark the occassion.
In this video we follow a rake of Goods wagons being hauled over the line by three Home Fleet engines plus a guest engine from County Durham's Tanfield Railway.
Engines in use were Hawarden, Marston No. 3, Kerr Stuart 4388 of 1936 and from Tanfield came Horden. Sadly Horden was to fail after a couple of trips.
Locations used for filming are Cavershall Road station, Cash Heath Crossing, Cavershall Road Level Crossing, Blakeley Bank and Blakeley Bank Crossing.
