As countries around the world work toward universal health coverage, leaders are looking for ways to best use resources to improve health and promote long-term economic development and social stability. Consensus is evolving over how to achieve these goals and ensure coverage considerations are equitable, transparent, evidence-based, and responsive to the needs of patients and local health systems. Join the Center for Strategic and International Studies Global Health Policy Center March 11 for a vigorous discussion of coverage policy options with international and country experts. Speakers represent the World Health Organization, the World Bank, NICE International, the U.S. government, and the private sector. Additional participants will discuss innovative approaches being taken in Thailand, Mexico, and China. Lunch will be provided.
