Description

When the song "Love Knot" encounters the movie "Jade Dynasty I", it is like a celestial breaking free from the worldly life and returning to where it belongs to. When singer Zhou Shen reaches the leading character Zhang Xiaofan, the lingering melody twining the fierceness and powerfulness of "Shao Huo Gun" (Zhang Xiaofan’s weapon) composes the journey of a young boy who has never surrendered to his fate. The soul-stirring music pours out the young man’s helplessness and entangled feelings of love and hatred. Fate may be unfair, but love can conquer all.

The movie "Jade Dynasty I" is directed by Ching Siu-tung and starring Xiao Zhan, Li Qin, Meng Meiqi and Tang Yixin (special starring). The movie is adapted from the original novel of the same name by Xiao Ding. It follows the story of an ordinary boy Zhang Xiaofan who was thrown into a world of chaos after a massacre occurred in his village. He received a magical weapon (a blood magic object called “Shao Huo Gun”) by chance and had then become a disciple of the Qingyun Sect.
