Well-known Australians support UNICEF Australia's campaign to see the number who children die each day from preventable causes reduced to zero. Do you Believe in Zero?
Featuring: Geoffrey Rush, Adam Spencer, Erik Thomson, Katie Noonan, Sandra Sully, Kylie Gilles, Magdalena Roze.
21,000 children under the age of five die everyday from preventable causes and treatable diseases. Twenty years ago that number was 34,000, a decade ago that number was 29,000, just last year it was 22,000. The momentum of this achievement continues to accelerate, a 15 per cent improvement 10 years ago increased to a 24 per cent improvement today. Just think what we can achieve in the next decade. We believe in zero.
