The Archtop Foundation was set up in 2021 with a mission to raise awareness of the wonders of the acoustic archtop guitar - it occurred to us that one effective way to do this was to acquire the Chinery Blue Guitar Collection and put it in the hands of the world's finest musicians. Here are @NewWestGuitar comprising the sensational talents of Perry Smith, John Storie and Will Brahm with a superb rendition of Dave Brubeck's Blue Rondo à La Turk. Perry Smith is playing the Blue Empress by Kim Walker [ Ссылка ] John Storie is playing the Jimmy D'Aquisto Blue Centura Deluxe [ Ссылка ] and Will Brahm is playing the Blue Mingione by Tom Ribbecke [ Ссылка ] but with the highly fashionable ebony ear trumpet removed.
This video was recorded live at the Rocky Mountain Archtop Festival in Arvada Colorado in September 2022. Thank you to Peter Henriksen and his team for an incredible time.
