Educational video presenting how the brain can repair itself after a brain injury, and how we can further support these processes.
Here is what you will learn by watching this video:
A brain injury, such as a stroke, results in suffering and dying areas of the brain, made of cells called neurons. Depending on their location and severity, the damaged areas can lead to a large variety of disabilities such as motor or cognitive impairments, directly impacting daily life activities.
Following the injury, the brain is able to activate mechanisms to repair and to compensate the damaged areas. This ability is known as neuroplasticity.
This brain plasticity leads to neurorepair with newly generated neuronal cells and new connections between them, translating into recovery of the impaired functions.
Rehabilitation, comprising several types of therapies and exercises to retrain the brain, remains a key component for recovery. In combination to rehabilitation, a natural oral product exists to further stimulate and enhance the recovery process.
Take action on your recovery!
