Street vendors form a critical link between the producers and consumers in the urban areas. Vending locally grown and organic products is a source of livelihood for a large number of women in Nagaland. This film highlights the significant contribution of women street vendors to the society, the issues and challenges they faced, and the appeal for protecting their livelihoods and rights. It captures the initiatives of the Self Employed Women Association (SEWA) Nagaland, an organization of women workers in the informal sector, in which many of the women street vendors in Kohima and Dimapur are members.
