“Hyperborean” is this a place or an ancient civilisation in Europe? It’s something to do with the north.
“Borean” just means northern. “Hyperborean” means the extreme north.
The ancient greeks used this to refer to a mythological place that was like up in the arctic.
But they didn’t know about the arctic, so it was more like Russian steps or something.
But if you are asking which modern country is Hyperboria? None
It’s a mythological place. It was based off rumours of who travelled in what is now Russia, what is now Poland but it’s not a real place.
But yeah it just means the extreme north.
So you hear that word used sometimes “Hyperborean” to refer to things that are in the extreme north.
