Many businesses are having to make staff cuts, people are being made redundant, laid off.
In these redundancy consultation meetings or in your redundancy interview it’s important to be prepared and know the questions you are going to ask.

Key questions for redundancy interview / meeting
• Make sure you have your employment contract and relevant policies.
• Ask why my particular role?
• How many other people are being made redundant?
• Describe the pool of people that have been grouped together?
• What selection criteria has been used?
• What alternatives to redundancy have the company thought of?
• Are there other roles you could apply for?
• What will happen during the consultation period?
• How long will the consultation be for?
• What is the redundancy pay/package?
• Is it enhanced over the minimum required by law?
