Did Meghan Markle successfully get her revenge against the British royal family, or will the monarchy have the last laugh?
After reading through the entirety of Tom Bower’s book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, it’s clear that Meghan’s sole focus post-Megxit was to enact her revenge against the family that essentially refused to make her queen.
In the beginning, Harry and Meghan were somewhat successful in this endeavor—but their desperation, clear lack of talent and hubris has doomed them to failure.
While they can still command attention, people want to see them fail more than succeed. They keep trying to recapture the magic of the monarchy, but without a clear tie to the crown it looks increasingly pathetic.
When it’s all said and done, it’s clear that the Windsors are having the last laugh.
