Happy Independence Day 2024...and we're celebrating the Fourth of July tonight (on July 3rd) with jambalaya! Tonight we're doing this YouTube Live video a little different. At 6:00 PM Eastern time, we're going live in my back yard...and this live video will last anywhere from two to three hours. I'll be using a huge 4-gallon (16 quart) Bayou Classic dutch oven, on an outdoor propane burner. We'll be making jambalaya from start to finish, all the way from heating up the cast iron pot, to the finished jambalaya at the end. There will be plenty of time to talk about our usual subjects on Cast Iron Wednesday, including cooking in cast iron -- especially jambalaya -- using and cleaning huge cast iron pans like this one, and all other subjects related to cast iron cooking.

I'm not asking anyone to stay here on YouTube Live for the entire two to three hour session, though I would appreciate it very much if you do. Everyone is free to come and go as they please. As always, feel free to drop by my channel and we'll have some fun tonight.
