We're going to review and reconsider her Mythology History and Facts through a feminist lens considering the writings of Hesiod's Theogony for her Origin myth as risen from the Sea from a mutilated Ouranos, the information from Homer and the Homeric Hymns which position her as the daughter of Zeus and Dione, her role in the Iliad and the Trojan war and the subsequent myths under the roman syncretization of Venus in the myth of Eros and Psyche by as recounted by Apuleius in The Golden Ass. We will consider the writing of Sappho about Aphrodite and how they differ from male authors in the description of the Goddess and we're going to consider Aphrodite and her Queer side including references to the Venus Barbata (bearded) e historical recounts of transgender people worshipping her in Cyprus. Then I'm going to share my personal experience with deity work with Aphrodite Venus, how she came to me and the work she's been helping me with in regards of Poetry Inspiration, popularity and death. I'm going to show you my Venus / Aphrodite Altar and go in detail about statues and items and how it's come together and I'm then going to go into books to cover both history and myth along with neo pagan and modern witchcraft books that include rituals and spells to work with her.
