The directing duo of Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz are tackling their feature directorial debuts with psychological horror thriller, Antebellum.

With a story also written by Bush and Renz, Antebellum tells the story of renowned author Veronica (Janelle Monáe) as she tries to escape from a 19th-century slave plantation.

During my interview with the writer-directors, Bush and Renz spoke about how the idea of the story came to them, which scenes were some of their favourites translated from script-to-screen, what they hope the audience takes from the film and more.
